Israeli troops have apparently crossed the border into Lebanon after Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers. All of this originally stems from the kidnapping of another Israeli solder near Gaza. Money quote:

Have no doubt, that is hardly idle realpolitik.  And before you think to yourself “Self, this is only three soldiers in an area of the world known for instability so I shouldn’t worry about it”, remember this: WWI started when two people got killed.
